Soundbowl Productions is excited to present an entirely new musical based in Adelaide. Wannabe hipster Chester opens laneway bar ‘The Brown Freckle’ off Hindley Street Adelaide, only to realise the strip club next door 'Fuzzy Holes' run by a vixenous Madam is not good for business, and all hell breaks loose. Funny and sometimes dirty (well let’s face it- mostly dirty), The Hipster explores stereotypes through characters from various walks of life. We may not look the same but our problems do. Music theatre with a dash of grit.
The Ensemble production of the musical, The Hipster will be debuted at the Adelaide Fringe 2020.
A recent addition to the State Opera chorus, classically trained Jared is also a mainstay of many SA amateur theatre companies having performed recently in 'Miss Saigon' and 'Pirates of Penzance'.
Jennifer is a freelance creative who will try her hand at most things artistic. She is proactive in both professional and community theatre and loves to support emerging artists with training and professional development through her boutique studio and independent publication The Serenade Files. She is delighted to be part of the development of The Hipster.
